You have come to a site about Kaštel Novi, one of the seven "kaštel"-s stretching along the Adriatic coastline between Split and Trogir. The once 7 separate small towns have now grown into one, the borders between them are hard to find. Kaštel Novi is no exception: it's the middle of the street that separates it from its neighbours both on west (Kaštel Štafilić) and east (Kaštel Stari).

Kaštel Novi was born in the early 1500s, when Pavao Antun Ćipiko erected his donjon on an islet of the coast, north of which a small, walled town was built. Kaštela is not known for its beaches, still, all the towns have their beaches - but Novi. The coastline in Novi is concrete in its full length, so, bathing here isn't possible.
